About Us
As a company, we were formed in 1982 by Brian Saunders as BDS. ‘Blinds and Door Services’ or ‘Brian David Saunders’. Brian had over 20 years of experience in the industry, specialsing and fitting garage door before BDS Started, enabling him to push off and lay the foundations for what we are as a business today. The company began its growth from Brian’s own home in Corringham, which was also the location of our first official shop, which was then moved into Battlesbridge, before our showroom that you see today on the Arterial Road. This move took place in 2008 and was when we took BDS to another level and became Lime BDS. This name change was orchestrated by Brian’s son, Peter, who wanted to encompass our more varied product range and expand in every direction.
From selling garage doors and industrial shutters; we now sell hot tubs, chill tubs, awnings, glass rooms, bi-folds and pergolas with expansion and diversification forever continuing.
We did not slow down on our efforts with garage doors, and we now have the largest garage door showroom in Essex, offering the best service and quality as we always have done.

Over lockdown and the Covid period, Peter’s wife Lisa, joined the company in order to help with workload and helped to contribute to one of our busiest years in the company’s history, which was the year our hot tub business really took off.
Nearly 3 years on from Lisa’s arrival, Peter and Lisa’s son, Oscar was brought on board with the vision to take the business even further and none have looked back since.
